Lawrence Paul aka Lp is a cree member of the Alexander First Nation and has been making music and performing for over 19 years.
Lawrence Paul had made his first studio recording at the age of 14 and quickly branched out to become a key player in the Edmonton music scene. Lawrence Paul released a total of 9 compilations during this time and has shared the stage with some of hip hops most iconic entities including Bone Thugz N Harmony, Snoop Dogg, Juicy J, D12, Rittz, Royce Da 5’9”, Rhazel of The Fugees, Westside Connection, G Unit, and many more and has recorded songs with Joey Stylez, Wu Tang Clan, and Shady Records recording artist KXNG Crooked. Lawrence Paul has recently became a partner of the Ble$$ed Street Studios/Stressed Street Nation record label and released his debut single ‘Rise Above’ on October 31, 2021. Lawrence is currently working on his follow up single ‘Ghost Dance’ with a release date planned for the immediate future.
Lawrence Paul always brings a high energy performance. Some of his most notable performances include a headlining performance slot at the Boonstock Music Festival, The Real Radio Show in New York City, Joey Stylez west coast tour, as well as numerous performances in Edmonton and surrounding area.
Along with creating and performing music, Lawrence Paul is also a battle rapper in the Smoked Out Battles Edmonton Division. Currently, Lawrence Paul has a 1 win and 1 loss record in this division and is striving to ensure his wins pile up.
Lawrence continues to make music to this day which reflects the lifestyle and daily struggles of Indigenous Peoples across North America.
